This modern Japanese-style building was built in 3 as the Kyoto Prefecture Tea Industry Chamber of Commerce and Industry building, and was designated as an important component of the nationally designated Important Cultural Landscape in 21. In 27, it was recognized as the first Japan Heritage Site, "A Historical Walk Through 800 Years of Japanese Tea," and is a representative building of the "Streetscape of Naka-Uji," a component cultural property of Japan Heritage.
Reservations for "Takumi no Yakata" for parties of 21 or more can be made at the Kyoto Prefectural Tea Industry Hall.
